Though it's an unfinished cave, a visit can give you good idea of the how the work in progress sites looked like during the excavation of caves.

The is located at the end of the paved trail connecting the caves, starting from Cave 1. Looks like this was in the initial phase of excavation. The cave site  is a bit rough to trek and explore.

This marks the last of the caves in this hill. There  are two more caves (Cave 6 and Cave 7), located on the hill across the raven. These are not usually included in the tour itinerary.

This is an unfinished cave, located near Cave 1, that is the main attraction in Elephanta.Follow the paved trail from the courtyard of the main cave (Cave 1), you can spot cave 2 on your right, slightly up on the hillside.
